Just to show the shapelessness
Here are more shots of my pink toile, to show how shapeless it is:
More darts at the front, also vertical? There are also drag lines from the bust point up to the shoulder.

How unfortunate! I stay away from this shape- it just looks like I'm wearing a tent. Would you be able to insert an elastic under-bust and turn it into a princess?

DeleteThis is from a self drafted bodice block. I wanted to see if I could get a mini dress or tunic from it with just bust darts. But I didn't realise that it would be quite so shapeless, I thought the bust darts would allow for enough shaping. Not so. Interesting experience.
I will try adding vertical darts first, see how that works, and then take it from there.
But it is very frustrating to see that I haven't got a better fit from all the efforts I put in, this is just the most recent version. I'll stick with it this time!
