We needed a summer cover that wouldn't make us hot, so I made a quilt... pieced and hand-quilted, but with nothing for batting. It was pretty easy.<br /><br />Have you tried lap-quilting? I am usually so happy to have done everything else that I haven't tried quilting through all the layers yet, I just wibble-wobble stitch along some of the seams (not a word, I know) to puff up that area a little bit.
